Access to Montpellier

Montpellier is the one of the easiest cities to travel to in the region and is well served by a host of travel options, so no matter where you are travelling from you will be sure to find a convenient and affordable transport option.

 

By plane :

There are approximately 15 daily flights from Paris to Montpellier, which takes one hour.  The airport is also served by flights from the low-cost airlines Ryanair and EasyJet offering regular scheduled flights making travel even more affordable.
Montpellier International Airport is located just 8 km from the city centre which  takes approximately 15 minutes by the regular shuttle busses, which operate directly between the airport and city centre, or taxi.
By train :

Montpellier is on the Paris-Lyon-Perpignan-Barcelona line and is linked to all of France’s major cities via the world famous TGV, with the trip from Paris to Montpellier taking less than 4 hours.
Some trains leave directly from the Charles de Gaulle-Roissy airport which is convenient for those needing a connection from Paris.
By car :

Montpellier is just off the A9 motorway (direction of Lyon/Barcelona), and is easily reachable from most European cities.  For those that drive to Montpellier they might be interested to note that Barcelona  is accessible by car in approximately 3.5 hours from Montpellier, Marseille 2 hours, and 6 hours to Milan which is ideal for those wanting to explore further afield during their stay with us.
