With a high percentage of students living in Montpellier the city offers something for everyone’s budget. From top 5 star restaurants to the more modest French hideaways, the city is brimming with things to do and places to go.
We provide all of our students more detailed information in their Student Packs, but below is a brief overview of what you would expect to spend on some essential items while you are here. If you require specific information that is not covered in the Student Pack once you have received it you can simply speak to our Student Services team who will be able to help you.
A baguette : 70 cents
Milk liter: 1.70 euros
Bottled water : from 30 cts
Fresh coffee : 3 euros upwards
Butter : 1.50 euros

Montpellier has many cinemas in the city centre, with the most popular located by the Place de la Comédie, and a multiplex cinema centre at the Odysseum shopping centre. As well as giving our students a chance to see some of France’s classic films, many of the cinemas show films in their ‘version originale’.
