Live in France, that was the goal of some of our students when they came to learn French at Institut Européen de Français!
Some choose our school to improve their French language skills in order to enter a university, others to live their professional dreams. There is always a good reason to learn French, especially when you want to live in France! This way, you will integrate more easily, you will better understand the cultural habits of the country in which you live and you will meet new people!
Live in France, a dream come true for some of our students!

I have always dreamed of learning French. It was in pursuit of this dream that I came to IEF in October 2018.
I have nothing but fond memories of the school and have made the best friendships I have ever had. I would like to give a special thanks to Eugenie for making me feel so welcome at the school because she is part of the reason I was able to succeed in my course and get my B2 in French!
After finishing my French classes, I started a master’s degree in design and digital strategy at ESMA in Montpellier last year. Today, I continue to make my way in France by doing an internship at LSF, another French school, still in Montpellier. And I continue to welcome every opportunity I’m given with confidence and good humor in the most wonderful country in the world.
Andreia

My name is Andreia. I am of Brazilian origin. I am a choreographer, dancer and cultural producer.
In 2016, I started my French studies at IEF because at that time, I was considering doing a master’s degree in Montpellier but that wasn’t the only reason!
On the one hand, I wanted to communicate with the people around me and on the other hand, I wanted to know more about the cultural environment in which I lived. It is therefore partly thanks to IEF that I was able to integrate so easily in France!
After studying at IEF where I had a great experience and learned a lot, I started my Master 2 “Direction de projet et d’établissement Artistique et Culturel en Europe” at Paul Valery 3, in Montpellier.
After graduation, I moved to Paris where I had the opportunity to work in some of the most famous institutions in France such as Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, the Louis Vuitton Foundation, the Galerie Lafayette Anticipations Corporate Foundation, the Paris Federation of the Ligue de l’enseignement. And currently, I am at the Centre Georges Pompidou.

In 2017, I decided to change my career path. With the goal of going into sociological research, I applied to a top school in France. I was admitted under the condition of obtaining the C1 level of French in June before the school year started. I had two months to prepare.
Even though I had been studying French for a few years, I was far from having the C1 level. The objective was hard but I found in IEF the best ally for my project.
After 2 months of classes, first in a group and then individually, I took the DALF C1 exam and obtained the certificate necessary to enroll in a 100% French-speaking master’s degree.
Two years later, I got my master’s degree in sociology in Paris and now I am in the first year of my thesis. I work for a French company that hired me to do my thesis on a topic of industrial interest.
I continue to learn French every day. I will always be grateful to IEF, my teachers and the entire school team at a key moment in my career.
Beyond the classes, I loved the city of Montpellier. It has become one of my favorite cities in the world. I even went back last Monday to say hello to the city.

When I came to France 3 years ago, I didn’t speak French at all. It was very destabilizing for me not to understand anything and not to be able to express myself.
That’s why I decided to enroll in a French course in a language school. One of my friends recommended IEF to me. I asked her why, she didn’t really know… One of her friends had been there and she had a great experience! So I went for it!
I spent 4 months there in 2018 and 5 months in 2019 where I improved tremendously! I went from a complete beginner to a B2 level! And I had nothing but good times at IEF!
Afterwards, I decided to stay in Montpellier. I love this very historic city, with its old buildings. It’s also very relaxing to walk in the alleys of the center. Plus, here, there is the beach and the sun! They are very hard to leave!
In parallel to my French courses at IEF, I continued and finished my studies in a business school in Montpellier.
I am now a graduate, with a good level of French, ready to face the business world!
